SHARON HUNTER is a recording artist, producer, actor and director, originally from St. Louis, Missouri. She works in New York and cities throughout the United States. Proving that "those who can, can also teach" she received a Master's Degree in theatre from Fontbonne University before moving on to both Yale University (cabaret conference) and The Ross School for a Master Class In Acting with Alec Baldwin. She got her undergrad degree in Journalism from Lindenwood University. She began her professional career on the radio. She was original host and producer of Pillow Talk on KEZK and an on air personality at Y98FM in St. Louis. She was host and producer of the Memphis Today Morning Show on WREC-AM and was the news director and morning anchor at KIX-104 in Memphis, Tennessee. She then quickly found another home on the stage.

Working at various Regional Theaters throughout the country, Sharon was fortunate to perform in such masterpieces as "The House of Blue Leaves"' "The Bad Seed", "The Picture of Dorian Gray", "Falsettos", "Lend Me a Tenor", "Hello Muddah, Hello Faddah" and countless others. She has a vast and varied collection of theatrical hats, all of which she wears beautifully. From director of "The Spider's Web", "A Trip To Bountiful", "Hidden Beauty", "Books Not Now": to actor and director for several years at NYC's Estrogenius Festival, to set and costume designer on "Inspecting Carol" and "A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline" respectively. Now she adds executive producer of her CD, Play Me to the list.

Sharon is part of the New York Cabaret scene working alongside some of the most notable personalities in the business such as Alex Rybeck, Carol Hall, Sharon McKnight, Tex Arnold, Rick Jensen and the incomparable cabaret legend Julie Wilson.

She has performed in some of the greatest cabaret venues throughout the city including Don't Tell Mama, Birdland and The Metropolitan Room.

Sharon is focused on her professional career both on the stage as well as in front of the camera, making appearances in "The Good Wife"' "Up In The Air" with George Clooney and "All the Silver."

Sharon performed 2 sell out shows of Play Me at The Emerald Room in St. Louis, MO on December 3rd, 2015

Sharon did 4 performances of Sharon Hunter and Her 70's Men at Don't Tell Mama in June and August 2013.

Sharon performed her show, Play Me at NYC'S Metropolitan Room on October 8th 2013 and May 4th, 2014.

Sharon was co-host of the Salon open mic night on May 18th, 2014 at Etcetera Etcetera in NYC. She interviewed over 30 performers and sang 4 songs including two from her CD, Play Me and "I Can't Make You Love Me" and "Shop Around."

Sharon was featured in an all-star musical celebration for the Birthday of New York City on May 17th, 2014 at the Unity Church, NYC. She performed the classic "Ev'ry Street's A Boulevard In Old New York."
